About Saber Tooth Tigers They lived in the Pleistocene period. They also lived during the Ice Age and the Quaternary Period. Animals related to it are cats. Venezuelan oil workers found many fossils including a saber tooth tiger skull. They lived from 33.7 million years to 9,000 years ago. The environment was icy and cold during the Ice Age. Plants that existed during it’s life time were Sagebrush, Grass and Coast live oak.
