Bellringer Read pages 59 and 805 (United States v. Eichman 1990) 1.Which Bill of Right does this reading address? 2.Which side to you favor? Why? 3.What was the Courts decision of United States v. Eichman? : Spence v. Washington- The Supreme Court held that the State of Washington could not convict a person for attaching removable tape in the form of a peace sign to a flag. What do you see similar or different from the two cases? Is one worse than the other? Why? 5.Agree or Disagree- Destroying the Flag does not diminish its importance as a national symbol.
