Tools  CamStudio – Free Download (Screen Video)  Movie Maker – Free Download (Video Editing Software)  Camcorder – Free checkout (Media Services)  Bamboo Tablet – Optional ( Amazon)  YouTube – Optional (Free Web Subscription)

Camtasia Playlist  PQcmuLhM2-KkjRNsT4CPi7iMQLvD4 PQcmuLhM2-KkjRNsT4CPi7iMQLvD4 This playlist is a series of 5 how-to videos: 1. Demonstrating CamStudio (Screen Capture) 2. Demonstrating Movie Maker Editor 3. Demonstrating YouTube preference editing and playlist creation 4. Demonstrating adding links to Blackboard 5. Using a Bamboo Tablet and SmoothDraw 4.0.1

Top 10 Tips for Success 1. Keep your videos short (5-10 min) 2. Consider doing videos by topic (this will let you change the order later without major revisions) 3. Make an excel spreadsheet with topic names and links for easy access later. 4. Consider making a video library folder in blackboard with all of the video links for ease of transfer between classes. 5. Start with an introduction video for an online or blended class.

Top 10 Tips for Success 6. Use your current Power Points as your initial template. 7. Try Camtasia Relay first it is easy, available, and free 8. Don’t try to do it all in one semester. Start small and build a video library gradually. 9. Work as a team and share your videos with others. 10. You will become accustomed to the sound of your own voice. Nobody cares! Your students will love you anyway!
