AMAZING FOSSILS

ABOUT THIS POWER POINT We have been reading about fossils hunters and searching for fossils. These are some of the things we have learned.

FOSSILS Fossils are dinosaur bones that have minerals that make them into stone.

DISCOVERIES THAT CHANGED PALEONTOLOGISTS MIND Paleontologists thought Tyrannosaurus Rex was the biggest meat eating dinosaur, however when Giganotosaurus was found scientists discovered it was bigger. They thought no dinosaurs lived in New Zealand but Joan Wiffen discovered her first dinosaur in 1974 in New Zealand.

WHERE CAN I SEE FOSSILS The paleontologist put the bones together to create a dinosaur and give it to the museum from all around the world so you can find them in the museums.
