The King of Jamaica’s Blueprint

What Materials Were Used? A Can (355 ml) Aluminum Foil Fiberglass insulation Vaseline Flexible Styrofoam Tape a. Packing b. Duct

The Inside of the Can Coke Can was wrapped with a thin layer of aluminum foil topped of with some fiberglass and Vaseline.

Outer Can Layers There were 2 layers of flexible pink Styrofoam, topped of with some packing tape to seal it together, and some duct tape for the water proof.

The Lid Styrofoam, with some fiberglass, aluminum foil, packing tape, and a little duct tape.

Significance of Each Item Can (355 ml)- Required Aluminum Foil- Was not a significant part, and probably should not have been inclided. Fiberglass-heats up homes, was put in to keep can warm. Styrofoam- Had many gas (air) bubbles in it, making it a good choice for insulator. Packing Tape- Prevented water from getting in, and kept device closed up. Duct Tape- Waterproof, prevented water from getting in.

Former Ideas Originally, there was going to be some cotton in our insulator, and some more fiberglass, but that was not used due to the size conflict.

Conflicts (What could Have Been Better?) The bottom part of the insulator was not sealed up well, and has a hole in it, causing it to leak. The aluminum foil became a conductor when the water touched it, making the water cool down at a faster rate. Size- A great portion of the insulator was literally cut off, which could have caused some minor damages to the insulator.
