Brief summary of the work I did my volunteer work in Al Safa brunch For 5 days: 3 days in the Adults section 2 days with the kids section Distributed surveys There website :  Volunteering in Dubai Public library

Findings : The monthly report Only 5 family membership Most of the kids came because of the parents Most of adult visitors came for studying The most services that been used were using the internet and using the Wi-Fi. Volunteering in Dubai Public library

Advantages: I gained an experience. The monthly report shows all the statistic. Providing about 17 services for the visitors. Encoring families to read by making family membership The division of the books’ sections simplify searching for the book for the visitors. There are many branches in each main neighborhood in Dubai city. There is networking between the brunches. Volunteering in Dubai Public library

Disadvantages Not all the visitors are familiar with the services provided. Kids section don’t have enough staff Most the visitors gave the library’s services and environment 7 out of 10 ! Volunteering in Dubai Public library

The future I think all the public libraries will shift to an electronic ones The need for hard copy books is decreasing Volunteering in Dubai Public library
