Walking dictation help Capital letters start sentences, are used for....etc. Success /Points Criteria – Least points win Speed – Winners get 1 point, second place 2 points, third place 3 points etc. Accuracy – Every misspelt word incurs one point Missed word – two points per word missed Erroneous Capitals, punctuation – three points The text should be as seen It needs to make sense as we are using it to decide who are the Winners!

Walking Dictation You will work in teams of 3 – 5. You will choose one member to be the scribe, the other members will be ‘runners’. Your task is to relay a text back to your scribe. This text will be placed across the room from your group. Only one runner can be up at one time. You will take it in turns to go to the text, read (up to you to decide how much you can remember) and then dictate it back to the scribe. The next runner would have heard that you had said “There will be a mystery”, so they know they must continue reading from there – and so on.
