Article #1  Germans are more attracted to regional crime novels nowadays.  The mixture of a crime scene in local surroundings is what interest readers.  Regional crime novels produce a strong sense of pride for local assets.  Characters showing vulnerability create bonds with readers.  Clichés are seen as good characteristics of crime fictions than bad.

Article #2  Germany has had a long history of its love for crime fiction, dating all the way back to  The first mystery novels were actually based off from real crimes.  German crime novels’ plots are often critically judged for their simplicity.  Crime fiction is so popular that children have their version of it.  Germans have adapted numerous of mystery books into television and radio shows.

Article #3  Recently, crime novels have villains as the protagonists.  Modern technologies are influencing the Criminal World.  Contemporary authors are creating characters that are failures instead of polished, perfect detectives.  Authors are creating characters with weaknesses to add realistic effects.  Different styles (slangs, abbreviations, dialect, etc.) are added to differentiate the authors’ individual uniqueness.
