How pandas live Did you know that Pandas live in China? Pandas have black and white coats of fur. They are only found in the mountains of central China. The population of wild Pandas is about 2,000. People like to keep Pandas in captivity, and today 180 Pandas are held in captivity. Pandas eat bamboo.

Giant Pandas Giant Pandas are really rare to find, and fewer than 1,000 of them live in the wild in China. They live in the mountain bamboo forests of western and southwestern China. Giant Pandas are good tree climbers. Also they can swim to escape predators. Giant Pandas spend most of their time alone, but they meet once in a while. Sometimes they communicate by calling each other. Giant Pandas don’t hibernate in the winter, so they elevate down to keep warm. They have two habitats because in the summer they go up to the mountains to stay cool.

Why pandas are endangered They live in China trying to survive, but they are suffering. What happens is the people are cutting down their habitat for what they need and not thinking about animals. Also, every 100 years bamboo dies as a natural part of its life cycle.

People are trying to save pandas People think its not right to use bamboo for the wrong things. But pandas need bamboo to survive. One school donated money for pandas.
