 Islamic Fundamentalism has pushed for segregated schools where women would be trained for lives as a housewife  Islamic Fundamentalism has encouraged a male-dominated society  Secular Education promotes more freedoms and rights – (i.e. choice of school, not segregated)  Secular states have strong economic ties with western nations which helps develop high- quality education systems (Israel)
