SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Vision Statement: Providing greater mobility in South Florida, thereby improving the economic viability and the quality of the community, region and state..

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Mission Statement : To coordinate, develop and implement, in cooperation with all appropriate levels of government, private enterprise and citizens at-large in the community, a viable regional transportation system in South Florida that endeavors to meet the desires and needs for the movement of people, goods and services..

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Core Values:  Provide safe, convenient, accessible, quality and economical transportation services in South Florida;  Provide financial resources to implement our “SFRTA” transportation goals;  Responsibly seek and leverage all those transportation resources available and due to the region;  Commit to continuous improvements in the transportation system; and  Invest in employees.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goals:  GOAL 1 – Promote a responsible transportation system supported by transit-oriented, pedestrian-friendly strategies;  GOAL 2 – To coordinate, connect and implement our transportation system within South Florida;  GOAL 3 – Ensure quality customer service and increased ridership by providing greater mobility choices, accessibility, safety and on-time performance;  GOAL 4 – Pursue long-term capital and operating funding sources to leverage local resources, both public and private; cont.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 1: Promote a responsible transportation system supported by transit-oriented, pedestrian-friendly strategies. Objectives:  Design and build transportation facilities that are safe, accessible, inviting and comfortable; and  Provide effective communication mechanisms that promote public transportation and are responsive to public feedback.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 2: To coordinate, connect and implement our transportation system within South Florida. Objectives:  Provide efficient and economical connections to all transportation modes and corridors; and  Identify regional transportation corridors for development of service expansion and improvement. cont.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 3: Ensure quality customer service and increased ridership by providing greater mobility choices, accessibility, safety and on-time performance. Objectives:  Upgrade transportation infrastructure to provide greater convenience and improve travel time; and  Implement system improvements that provide positive impacts to accessibility and safety. cont.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 4: Pursue long-term capital and operating funding sources to leverage local resources, both public and private. Objectives:  Pursue new financial opportunities in conjunction with public, private and civic parties;  Advocate and secure necessary and appropriate funding levels; cont.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 4: Pursue long-term capital and operating funding sources to leverage local resources, both public and private. Objectives:  Maintain a sound financial plan that assesses the implications of current and proposed policies on future operations; and  Develop revenue and expenditure reporting to ensure available resources are allocated responsibly.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 5: Coordinate SFRTA activities with local and county governments. Objectives:  Collaborate with government agencies to develop land-use policies consistent with an efficient regional transportation system; and  Engage representatives of local and county governments in Authority activities through the SFRTA Board’s committee structure.

SOUTH FLORIDA REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY (SFRTA) Goal 6: Ensure an organization which values its employees. Objectives:  Encourage employees’ professional development through mentoring, continuous training and agency recognition;  Provide opportunities for growth and leadership; cont.
