Color Poem Red Red, The color of fire, Bright, Cherry flavor, Apples, A watermelon’s center, A sunset Red.

In your ups and downs all day, Haiku Sisters Sisters they love you, In your ups and downs all day, In your heart they are.

I am from Vanessa Hudgens. I am from stuffed animals, And from clothes stuffed in my closet. I am from the days, I would laugh and play, Without a care in the world.

Free Verse Roller Coaster The world’s a roller coaster, There’s up and downs and all around, Sometimes you think it can’t get any worse, Sometimes you think it can’t get any better, Life’s a roller coaster. We learn to live with it, The world still goes around, Even on your worst days, The world still goes around.

Helps you with problems Cinquain Sisters Laugh, Cry Stand by you Helps you with problems Sisterhood

About the Author My name is Maiya K. I am almost 10. My environment inspired me to write most of my poems. Different events also inspired me. Figurative language helped me because it helped my writing flow. It also helped me tell the stories I was trying to tell within my poems.
