9 Channelside Channelside is next to Ybor City and it has many restaurants and shops to visit. There are also bowling alleys to play and a movie theater for a relaxing night.
10 The Florida Aquarium The Florida Aquarium is one of the most visited places near Ybor City. It’s a great attraction for tourists. They have beautiful water animals inside.
11 Ybor Square It is significant because back in the 1800’s Ybor was a famous cigar town with a lot of cigar companies.

16 Some information about Galati Galati is a beautiful city on the Danube. It is located on the left bank of the Danube, at the confluence of two other rivers: the Siret and the Prut. Galaţi is a city in eastern Romania, the capital city of Galaţi County on the banks of the Danube, very close to Brăila forming with it the Cantemir metropolitan area. In 2002, according to the official Romanian census, the city had a population of 298,861 people, making it Romania's 7th largest city. Galaţi has a fine 20th century Romanian Orthodox cathedral - St. George (Sfântu Gheorghe) and another particularly striking fortified church (that of St. Mary - Sf. Precista) on the banks of the Danube, which was built in 1647 by Vasile Lupu (legend has it that a tunnel was dug from the church and under the river).
17 Galati Other features of the city include a botanical garden, several museums, a television tower opened to the public and offering full view of the city, the newly-restored Galati Opera House, and a sculpture park lining a promenade of several kilometers along the banks of the Danube. Galati has a university, the "Dunarea de Jos" University, founded in 1951 as a Naval and Mechanical Engineering Institute and given university status in 1974, by merging the Polytechnical Institute (the successor of the initial Institute) with the College of Education (founded in 1959).

29 Kirov Square The main square in the city of Irkutsk is KIROV SQUARE. It is the central square and one of the main attractions in the city. Hundreds of years ago there was a small pond in this area. The pond gradually grew and turned into a badly smelling bog. This was unpleasant to townsmen and they decided to drain it.
30 Kirov Square With the lapse of time the trade started to develop here. In 1772 two shopping arcades were opened: one – made of stone and the other – made of wood. Both burnt in 1775 during a lightning storm. Two years later a new two- storied building of shopping arcade was constructed. It was intended for 200 shops. The square got the name Gostinodvorskaya. The name of the square had changed many times. It was named Kremlevskaya, Spasskaya, Bogorodskaya, Tikhvinskaya after the churches situated near it. Most of the churches were destroyed after the Revolution.
31 Kirov Square In the small pictures you can see the Tikhvinskaya church. It was named after the Tikhvin icon brought from the city of Tikhvin (Leningrad region) to Irkutsk. In the Soviet period the Tikhvin church was demolished, and the area was renamed into Kirov square. The well- known icon after a long travel throughout Russia returned home to Tikhvin.
32 Sergey Kirov / Kirov Square The real name of Sergey Kirov was Sergey Mironovich Kostrikov. He was born in The name "Kirov" was taken by him as an alias. He was a statesman. Kirov came to Irkutsk in 1908 and lived here illegally for some time. In 1934 he became the secretary of Central Committee of the VKP (b). He was assassinated in Smolny by L.V.Nikolaev in 1936.
33 Kirov Square Today many important buildings are located along the perimeter of Kirov Square. Among them are the buildings of city Administration, regional Administration, Irkutsk State Linguistic University, the "Angara" hotel and some other.
34 Kirov Square The square is the place where the citizens and guests of Irkutsk can have a rest, relax and enjoy the beauty of flowers in summer.
35 Kirov Square In winter the young and the young in heart can breathe in frosty air and slide down the ice slide. Every year in December a beautiful fur tree is installed in the center of the square.
