Family Tree Activity Grimball – Approaches to Learning

Instructions – Part One  Use the Smart Art graphics tool or your own artistic ability to make a family tree that outlines your family background as far as you know. (You can use pictures and image if you have them as well)  Example: Mrs. Grimball Mom – Lynn Betty – Grandmother George - Grandfather Dad – Jeff Irene – Grandmother Ralph - Grandfather

Instructions – Part Two  Do some online research to see if you can find out where your family name (your last name) originated. Answer some of the following questions if you can:  Put all information together in a presentation format of your choosing.  What does it mean?  What country did originate from?  When did your ancestors arrive here?  What does your coat of arms look like?  Anything and Everything you can discover about your last name!
