Learning Disabilities Providers Forum Welcome

What do you do? Promote and share good practice. Improve the quality of health and services. Improves skills and knowledge. Contributes to national & local strategies. Partnership working. Meets 6 times a year. Friendly working environment.

Members Any organisation which provide services to people with learning disabilities in Aberdeenshire. Interested in joining? Please leave contact details at the Forums stand. Some of the current members are:

VIP’s!! From time to time the Forum invites very important people to the Forum’s. Some of these have included: Senior Learning Disabilities Manager Clinical Psychologists Care Inspectorate Officers Adult Support and Protection experts PAMIS Local Government Officers MSP’s

Facilitation The Forum is expertly facilitated by Jackie Taylor Her role is: Organising meetings Inviting guests Minutes Developing a work plan Sharing information and guidance Maintaining membership contacts Promotion

Chairperson The role of the Chairperson is to: Chair Forum meetings. Set the agenda. Anyone may be chairperson for up to 3 years.

Sub-Groups & Committees Sub-groups are set up to review how the work plan is achieved. Forum members can feedback on the work of external committees/work groups. Other external committees are: Learning Disability Outcomes Group Learning Disability Accommodation Group Adult Protection Committee Challenging behaviour Involvement group Learning Disability Conference Social Inclusion Transition Service self evaluation/analysis
