Spanish Colonization The first sighting of Spanish colonization was 24 October Columbus on his first voyage sailed south of North America he explored Cuba. 1511, Diego Cuéllar set out to make the first Cuban Colony.

Relations Between Cuba and The United States Cuban Democracy Act 1962 (Cuban Embargo). Helms-Burton Act 1996, restricted the US from doing business with Cuba. Cuba holds human rights violations and state sponsored terrorism designation against US. The US holds $6 billion worth of financial claims against Cuba.
