Blue Ribbon Book Tours offers Award Winning, Age Appropriate Reading Materials in a Safe, Online Environment.

Millions of E-Readers and tablets are being purchased each year, many by parents and grandparents for their students. After that purchase, how are titles selected for download onto the new E-Readers? Get Direction!

We aim to provide a better way to Get Direction for high quality reading on tablets and ereaders…

Each State publishes their own yearly lists of the best children’s titles based on certain criteria. These titles are selected by educators and are called Award Nominees. Get Direction!

And most states separate these by age group. Throughout the year, students read some or all of these titles, and then vote on their favorites. Get Direction!

 So each year a vetting process creates a list of thousands of titles, refreshed throughout the year, of educator supported titles separated by reading level and age group.

Using these State Award lists, Blue Ribbon Books on Tour creates a safer environment for students to select titles from. We Give Direction!

Parents and grandparents purchase download credits to use on the Books on Tour website. Schools can create master accounts for all students to use. Blue Ribbon donates a percentage of the proceeds back to the selected school. Get Direction!

Reading Charities hand out credit “cards” Community Organizations can purchase Whole School Licenses on behalf of local schools. Get Direction!

Librarians and Reading Specialists have less time available with school funding being challenged. Leveling Tools built in to program to help students select appropriate books. Students are assigned an online Tour Guide, to challenge and mentor them. Additionally, Blue Ribbon provides a “Tour Guide” to mentor, challenge and encourage each member. Get Direction! Not Just a Book Selling Platform, We Support Curriculum

Once they’ve explored their own State Lists, they can find titles that fit their Reading Level from other State Lists. Each student member receives a “Passport” which encourages them to read at least one book from each state. Students can vote (through social media) on their favorite, creating a “King of the Hill” award across the country. Get Direction!

The member will receive an incentive prize for completing their Passport. They gain extra points with reviews and story submissions. Get Direction!

When student selects a book, we help keep the reading momentum by offering other titles in genre and by same author. Get Direction! Follow Up: generated each time a State Award list is updated. New titles from award authors. New Passport winners.

offers: Downloads of the award titles Hard Copy (shipped to home, with offer of repurchase on completion of reading) Hardware preloaded with award winners and classics (e-readers) Peace of Mind – Safe Environment Get Direction!
