He was know as the “quintessential American inventor” for inventing “the phonograph, the transmitter for the telephone speaker, an improved light bulb, and key elements of motion-picture apparatus, as well as other bright inventions. During the 19 th Century, the American Industrial Revolution went on where America emerged as a major industrial power and it development economically. This happened because of the many benefits they had. One of them was improvements were made to industrial processes; which brings in Thomas Edison. (About.com)
