Genre Folk tale- A story based on the traditions of a people or region, told by parents to children and then by the children to their children.

Strategy Evaluate- You should begin evaluating a text by identifying the reason the author has written it. Authors Purpose- An author’s purpose may be to entertain, persuade, instruct or inform.

Synonyms A word that has the same or a very similar meaning to another word. You can find synonyms in a thesaurus or a synonym finder. awkward-clumsy agile- graceful tottered- wobbled proclaimed- announced
