Microsoft Internet Explorer Capturing Text and Images From the Internet

Capturing Text and Images Previewing and printing a Web page Saving a Web Page to disk HTML format MHT format Text format Copying text to a word processor Capturing images Saving an image to disk Copying an image to a word processor

Print Preview a Web Page Display the Web page. Click File on the menu bar. Click Print Preview. Select view size from drop-down menu. Note the number of pages. Browse the document. Click Close.

Print a Web Page Display the Web page. Click File on the menu bar. Click Print. Select the desired print option. All Page number or range of pages Selected text Click OK.

Print a Page Range Click File on the menu bar; select Print. Choose Pages at the bottom of the screen. Enter a single page number or a range of pages.

Print a Selection Select text on a Web page. Click File on the menu bar; select Print. Choose Selection at the bottom of the screen.

Saving Contents of a Web Page Save the contents in HTML format (default), which displays exactly as shown on the Web page. Save the contents in MHT format, which displays text and graphics. Save the contents in plain text format, which may be easily edited in a word processing program.

HTML Format, Complete Save to disk:  Open the page.  Click File.  Click Save As.  Enter path and file name.  Click Save. Open in browser.

MHT Format, Single File Save to disk: OOpen the page. CClick File. CClick Save As. EEnter path and file name. CChange file type to Web Archive. CClick Save. Import to read or use browser.

Plain Text Format Save to disk:  Open the page.  Click File.  Click Save As.  Enter path and file name.  Change file type to Text.  Click Save. Import to read or use browser.

Copying Text to a Word Processor Open new document in word processor. Open Web page. Select text. Press Ctrl-C. Switch to word processor. Press Ctrl-V.

Pasting Images in a Document Open a new word processing document. Switch to Internet. Place pointer on image. Right-click mouse. Click on Copy. Switch to document. Press Ctrl-V.

Save a Web Page Image Open the Web page. Right-click on the image. Select Save Picture As. Choose file type―.gif,.jpg, or.bmp. Move to file path (USB or hard drive) and enter name. Click Save.
