Offer to the health care practitioner & EU citizen a secured online infrastructure to initiate the patient administrative admission properly by: 1.Retrieving the European Health Insurance dataset from –A national health smart card Or –A European Health Insurance Plastic Card 2.Validating online in realtime this EHI dataset by its issuer

Workstation components deployment Easiness of technical deployment is a critical point : –Hospitals & GP have already lots of SW from various vendors –Smart card reading & health Insurance is not their core buisness Deployment consists of : –Installing Java Runtime Environment (if not already in place), –Installing a USB smart card reader, –Running a simple setup.exe that install all components => Deployment of a Workstation does not take more than 15 minutes !
