Four Subteams 1.The 2010 LUCA Looking Back Subteam 2.The Geographic Support System Initiative & LUCA Partnership Subteam 3.The LUCA in a Targeting Environment Subteam 4.The Focus Group Implementation Subteam

Research Results  Research resulted in the consideration of 12 recommendations for the 2020 Local Update of Census Addresses Program

Recommendations 1.Eliminate the full address list submissions 2.Reduce the complexity of the LUCA program 3.Include census structure coordinates in the census address list and allow partners to return their structure coordinates as part of their submission 4.Provide ungeocoded USPS DSF addresses to State and County partners 5.Provide a standard format for the address list 6.Include an in-house verification of LUCA submitted addresses

Recommendations 7.Utilize GSS-I tools and data to validate LUCA submissions 8.Encourage governments at the lowest level to work with larger governments to consolidate their submission 9.Eliminate the Block Count Challenge 10.Eliminate the use of an asterisk (*) for multi-units submitted without unit designations 11.Encourage LUCA participants to identify if addresses are used for mailing, location, or both 12.Continue the 2010 Census LUCA Program improvements that were successful
