International Youth Internship Program (IYIP) -offers post-secondary graduates the opportunity to gain valuable international development work experience -participants are youth (ages inclusive) that have demonstrated high achievement at the post-secondary level in fields related to international development, but need assistance to successfully launch their career by gaining advanced employability skills & career-related work experience -Internships are for a minimum of 6 months, and include at least 5 months working outside Canada.

How does the IYIP Work? Organizations (including non-governmental organizations, private-sector companies, and academic institutions) submit proposals for international projects to CIDA. Once approved, sponsor organizations select young professionals for overseas assignments, prepare them for departure & reintegration, including cross-cultural training.
