HISTORY of the AzYF  Azerbaijan Youth Foundation (AzYF) was established on December 19, 2011 according to the Presidential Decree No. 542 adopted by Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was established under the paragraph of the Action Plan on the implementation of the State Program on “Azerbaijani youth ” approved by the Order of Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated by July 7, 2011.

CONCEPT of the AzYF  AzYF is a structure that finances the projects and programs of public and social importance in the sphere of science, education, culture and other fields related to youth policy, and also provides financial support to the projects and programs realized on an international level.

OBJECTIVES of the AzYF  Support the projects and programs of public and social importance;  Preparation and realization of regional and international programs for the youth development;  Support the projects of creative youth in the sphere of theatre, cinema, architecture, design and modern art;  Support the social initiatives and civil society through the development of youth organizations.

How to APPLY  Youth organizations and individuals are eligible to apply to AzYF for financing by registering on the Foundation’s website –  After successful registration, you will be provided by the Registration Code and Password. You will be able to submit your projects online and to contact AzYF directly.

AzYF accepts the projects on 5 CATEGORIES  Category A  Category B  Category C  Category D (permanent)  Category E (permanent)

Category A 1. Strengthening the patriotic spirit of youth 2. Education of youth on the prevention of harmful habits, protection of their health (medical awareness, sport, etc.) 3. Protection and improvement of the environment (environmental awareness, eco-tourism, environmental campaigns, etc.) 4. Development of culture and art (protection of historical monuments, promotion of national literature, support to young writers, promotion of national cuisine, master classes, etc.) 5. Effective organization of the leisure time (specialized summer camps, summer schools, increase of the youth vocational skills, etc.) 6. Development of the youth entrepreneurial skills 7. Promotion of social behavior 8. İntegration of young people with special needs 9. Fight against human trafficking and early marriages 10. İncrease the social activity of the regional youth

Category B 1. Delivery the truth about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno- Karabakh conflict to the world community 2. Promotion of international volunteerism and youth programs in Azerbaijan 3. Cooperation of Azerbaijani youth organizations with international youth platforms 4. Support to the initiatives of young people studying and living abroad related to Azerbaijan 5. Organization of international events in Azerbaijan with the participation of foreign youth (participants from minimum of 5 countries and 2 foreign NGO partners)

Category C 1. Support the initiatives of the intellectual youth 2. Promotion of the effective use of the social networks by young people 3. İnfluence of young people on the information society (creation of internet resources) 4. Social events organized for youth with disabilities 5. İncrease the role of youth in the promotion of cultural values 6. Support to the inventions and innovative ideas of talented youth in different areas (music, art, architecture, cinema, animated films and animations, social wheels, computer games, art works, etc.) 7. Organization of local and international events with the participation of talented and creative youth

Category D (permanent) Partial funding (70%) of young scientists, social active, talented and creative youth to participate in events held abroad

Category E (permanent) Support to the research projects of young people and youth organizations from foreign countries on the history and culture of Azerbaijan, and also on Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
