COMMITMENT TO COMPETITIVE SWIMMING Swim at least 50 yards (2 laps) legally Have basic knowledge of all 4 competitive strokes Must commit to daily training: -over 2000 yards a day (80 laps) -weight training twice a week -running/med. balls workouts - abdominal /plyometric training

HIGH SCHOOL PRE-SEASON STROKE CLINICS Gwinnett Aquatics September 23rd to October 17th, Monday-Thursday 3-4:30 pm: 4 week clinic to prepare for the HS season focusing on general conditioning and stroke technique. Register online at YMCA Stroke Clinic: Beginning Saturday, August 24 th, every Saturday through September 28 12:00 pm.

DIVING CLINICS Betty Hudson will be starting a new preseason dive class at Mountain Park Pool effective Monday, August 19, The classes will meet every Monday and Wednesday nights from 7-9 PM. There will be two monthly sessions leading up to the dive season opener. Register directly at Mountain Park Aquatics Center on line or go by the pool. The cost is $ per 8 week session. George Ranney and Barrie Price-Kerr are offering dive classes up to the start of the high school season. Instruction is at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9 PM.
