CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS21 August Construction contracts Regulation in Denmark -AB 92, ABT 93, ABR 89 -Agreed documents Agreed upon by parties within the industry – representatives from all sides Only applies if agreed upon by the parties to the contract AB 92 -Standard conditions for work and deliveries in construction -Originally AB 52, revised in 1972 and in Used in almost every construction contract in Denmark The public sector is obligated by law to use AB 92 when they put construction contracts out to tender (both national and international) Most of the conditions are used as general rules within construction law

July 2010 Different suggestions in regards to the legal nature of the instrument of European Contract Law - Publication of the results of the Expert Group - Regulation establishing a European Contract Law and European Civil Code
CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS21 August Construction Contracts Construction contracts within the European Union -General conditions such as FIDIC and AB 92 -More advantages than disadvantages Good experiences with FIDIC and AB 92 Can be specifically tailored to different types of contracts such as the FIDIC books Would be customised for the reality of construction Would most likely be accepted by the parties as reasonable and practicable -Would provide the European Union with uniform guidelines, that could further construction contracts within the internal market
