All About Lions By Nick Dagostino

Have you ever studied about lions? I will be telling you about the lion. In this report you will learn about the physical description, habitat, defense, prey, predators, and an interesting fact.

Physical Description

Habitat Do you know what the lion’s habitat is? They live in grasslands. Things you will see in the lion’s habitat are trees, grass, and zebras. The lion can survive here because they blend in with dry shrubs and grasses. They also don’t have stripes or spots. The countries where the lion can be found are Africa and India.

Defense Do you know how the lion protects itself? One way the lion protects itself is by hiding in the tall grass. Another detail about the lion’s defense is it can go to high places so it can’t be seen by its predators. Finally, the loin uses camouflage to blend into its habitat.

Prey Roar! Roar! Roar! The lion eats wild animals. The lion hunts three of its favorite food. They are zebras, wildebeest, and antelope.

Predator  Roar….Roar! Do you know what a lions enemies are? People are the lions enemies. Do you know why they kill them? I will you why. They do it for money and for food and for sport.

Interesting Facts  Do you know any interesting facts about lions? The lions use their whiskers to help them sniff where they are going in the dark. The lions eat about 10 pounds of meat every day.

 In conclusion, I wish I had more to tell you about the lion, but you will have to read more to find out! I learned a lot, did you?
