Hand Washing

Why do we wash our hands? We wash our hands to get rid of the bad germs that make us sick and stop the germs from spreading to our friends! So that means we wash them EVERY TIME… After we go to the restroom Before we eat/touch food When our hands are dirty After we touch animals After we sneeze/cough After we blow our noses

How do we wash our hands? STEP 1: WET YOUR HANDS. Put your hands under the water to get them all wet! STEP 2: USE SOAP. After you get your hands wet, squeeze soap on your palms & rub it all in! STEP 3: SPREAD. Make sure to spread the soap all over your hands! That means rubbing your palms together first, then rubbing it onto the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and don’t forget your wrists! You should also pay attention to your fingernails! Rub your nails on your palms to get them soapy too. STEP 4: RINSE. After you cover all those areas with soap, you need to rinse the soap off with warm/hot water! Rinse your hands with your fingertips pointed down, so that the water washes the dirt and germs right off your hands and down the drain. Cover all the areas again while rinsing!

STEP 5: DRY. After you wash all the soap off your hands, you need to dry them off with a paper towel. Make sure you dry them completely! STEP 6: TURN OFF WATER. Use a paper towel to turn the water off so that you don’t attract those old germs again! How do we wash our hands?

THE END (:
