This is a venue for telling membership about upcoming events, the success of past events which you’ve worked so hard for, to lend advice, and to promote membership and membership participation.

It's that time of year (already!) and the Awards Committee is looking for nominations for our Local Chapter Awards. We want to recognize those members who have gone above and beyond for our Englewood on the Gulf Chapter. Please find below the criteria for each of the awards. Please read it over, and send your nominees and comments to Eileen O’Connor, Committee Chair at You don't even have to nominate someone for every category, we just want your feedback, and your candidates recognized for a job well done! Please reply by October 8 Affiliate of the Year: Exemplifies the objectives of WCR through willingness to lend a helping hand. Entrepreneur of the Year: Member who has exhibited business leadership in their work and community. This award is meant for a Realtor who has achieved something notable in business. Extra Effort Award: Assumes tasks and goes beyond what is asked. Demonstrates the ability to be creative and motivated. This is typically directed to a newer member. Honor Circle: An outstanding member of WCR for two years or less. Humanitarian of the Year: The nominee should have freely given of their time and talents to one or more organizations. This person should have volunteered many hours of service, commitment on a continuous basis and provided “hands on “ involvement to a specific cause. This member, by way of example, is a role model for others. Member of the Year: Nominated by Local Chapter President. Member who has exemplified the mission statement, core values and the goals of the Women’s Council and the local Chapter. Mentor of the Year: Member who has gone the extra mile in giving of their time and talent in working and mentoring members through the leadership process. Shows outstanding support for WCR and is a positive influence. Rising Star: Demonstrates leadership skills. Demonstrates a desire to increase knowledge. May demonstrate a desire to participate further on the State level.

TO YOUR CLIENTS it says that you have a career, not just a job. It tells them you are a professional who works harder and smarter to sell their home, or to find the new house they’ve dreamed about. TO YOUR COLLEAGUES it says that you’ll never be too experienced to learn something new, or too successful to share some advice.
