Do you like fast food? Lots of people complain about it but most of them think that it’s quite tasty. In today’s world, it’s difficult to avoid eating in fast food restaurants. They are so convenient and seem to be everywhere. HOW DID IT START?

The origin and history of Fast Food

Ray Kroc Two brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald opened the first fast food restaurant in 1940 in California. In 1955 Kroc had bought out the brothers’ business and created what is now the modern McDonald's Corporation. 

Development of a McDonald's shows the spread of fast food.  in 1956 the U.S.had 14 restaurants McDonald's,  in 1960 - 228  in 1968 - 1000,  in 1975 - 3076,  in 1980 -6263,  in1984 - 8300,  in1990 - 11800. 

Now McDonald's is the most popular fast food restaurant in the world Now McDonald's is the most popular fast food restaurant in the world. It is located in 126 countries and on 6 continents and operates over 31,000 restaurants. It serves nearly 54 million customers each day. Everyday, one out of four Americans eats fast food.

THE MOST POPULAR ITEMS OF FAST FOOD

Fast food has been designed to be eaten "on the go", often does not require traditional forks and spoons, and is eaten as a finger food. Common menu items at fast food include

What is fast food and why is it so popular? In today’s fast-moving world, people have less and less time to spend eating, let alone cooking. It is probably for this reason that fast food has become so popular. Eating out is a common pleasure for most families. Families are starting to eat less home-cooked food. The food is convenient, quick, relatively cheap and usually tempting.

Advantages 1. It is tasty. 2. It is interesting. 3. It is fashionable. 4. It’s convenient. 5. It is popular.
