Morrison  Flourished as a shrimping and seafood town  Town Website: “A self- sufficient community of schools, homes, churches, shops, and docking facilities with an economy largely dependant upon the sea.”  Noted for historically valuable plantations

 Devastated much of the town  Taken by surprise  Destroyed seafood industry  McClellanville 20 years after Hugo McClellanville 20 years after Hugo

 Founded in 1768  Noted for its Georgian architectural style  Served French Huguenots and English settlers  Established as a National Historic Landmark in
