ESPON 2013 Programme Info Day on New Calls and Partner Café Call for Expressions of Interest for Targeted Analyses

Priority 2: Targeted Analyses based on user demand New type of ESPON projects Introducing new approach to project generation and implementation in partnership Supporting use of existing ESPON results involving stakeholders and experts/researchers Objectives Provide evidence and knowledge based on ESPON results on strengths and weaknesses of individual regions/larger territories from European perspective Improve usefulness of ESPON results by testing new, experimental and innovative options Provide analytical support and evidence based on ESPON results on thematic priorities in cooperation with other SF Programmes

Priority 2: Targeted Analyses based on user demand Specific characteristics Stakeholders define content of projects Stakeholders are involved in TPG selection Stakeholders give guidance to targeted analysis Stakeholders apply project outputs in practice & disseminate results -> Stakeholders’ commitment essential for project’s success

Priority 2: Targeted Analyses based on user demand A two-step procedure towards targeted analyses Submission of expressions of interest (EoI) by stakeholders (i.e. public authorities of EU27+4, partnerships of regions and/or cities). EoIs approved by ESPON MC are basis for development of project specifications/terms of reference Call for proposals/tenders for targeted analysis mainly addressed to research institutes and universities with the necessary analytical capacity to carry out the analysis
