ATLAS GRAPHIC CHARTER

CURRENT ATLAS LOGO It is a non vector graphic (PostScript) colored photo of a statue in New York, hard to reproduce properly in big version It has too much detail making it hard to reproduce in smaller version A strong male figure It doesn’t have a graphic charter

VECTOR GRAPHIC Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves—all of which are based on mathematical expressions—to represent images in computer graphics.

GRAPHIC CHARTER The graphic charter is a deliverable that guarantees a project’s consistent graphical identity. It defines the overall graphic, iconographic, typographic and ergonomic guidelines that should be followed on the site. It helps to guide and streamline integration, adaptation and utilisation of the various communications channels.

CERN GRAPHIC CHARTER

ALICE EXPERIMENT GRAPHIC CHARTER

PROPOSAL NEW ATLAS LOGO It should follow the basic rules of a logo and be accompanied by a graphic charter: vectorized, simple lines, works equally in color, B&W, vertical and horizontal format and look clear even in a small scale It should convey our values: physics, collaboration, technology It should better represent the international collaboration that ATLAS is It should have more gender balanced approach Above all, it should maintain familiarity to what the collaboration is used to
