NATIONAL CENTER FOR SIMULATION (NCS) NATIONAL CENTER FOR SIMULATION (NCS) 501c(3) member organization headquartered in Orlando, FL Approximately 150 U.S. and international members, with a high concentration in Central Florida Provides a link between government, industry and academia to further M&S technology Promotes the transfer of defense M&S technology to various applications: Medical, homeland security, education, transportation and entertainment Supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and workforce development programs

4 SIMULATION Simulations save lives, money and time M&S technologies are used in training, planning, analysis, engineering, test and evaluation Research can be performed using simulation instead of costly and often times damaging live or “real world” events “Almost every soldier or Marine deployed to the Middle East is trained on some kind of system developed in Central Florida.” Orlando Sentinel, Jan. 11, 2009
