Habitat  The preferred breeding habitat is tundra, and so the Canadian goose can be found in the Northern United States during breeding season.  Open, grassy habitats including temperate, terrestrial, and freshwater niches as well as tundra, semi-desert, wooded areas, and agricultural land.
