Beyond Climate Change: A Global Company Perspective Name: Montri Simagrai Title: Managing Director Organization: Du Pont (Thailand) Limited Event: Asia’s Emerging Response on Climate Change Date: November 23, 2007

The Vision of DuPont To be the world’s most dynamic science company, creating sustainable solutions essential to a better, safer, healthier life for people everywhere.

DuPont in Asia Pacific History and Current Presence Entered Japan in the early 60s Today has operations in 14 markets More than 50 wholly-owned facilities and 30 joint ventures About 6,000 employees in wholly-owned operations Total sales revenue about US$4.7 billion in 2006, accounting for 18% of the global total 2 Corporate R&D facilities located: one in Japan and one in China

Our Position on Climate Change

Our Position on Climate Change DuPont believes the science is sufficiently compelling to take prudent actions to address global warming and its potential for climate change. Policies must be carefully developed to ensure adequate reductions in an economically sustainable manner.

Our Position on Climate Change We believe it is in the best interest of DuPont to: Anticipate increased governmental efforts to reduce emissions Ensure that governmental actions give credit for early action Use market mechanisms to assure policies are economically sustainable

Encouraging Public Policy – Founding Member of Key Organizations

Encouraging Public Policy – DuPont has taken these actions and policy positions because they are the right things to do – for both business and the environment. We will continue to bring new products and technologies to market that help address the global climate challenge. Business alone cannot solve the problem. Federal legislation, within a global framework, will help create the marketplace that will drive innovation, economic growth, and environmental progress. DuPont strongly believes governments should take action on climate change.
