 In Vegetarianism-More Than Just a Diet, “vegetarianism is a preference that people have in which they choose to eat only vegetables and other plant products in preference to meat and other animal products”(Wolski 1).  There are many different types of vegetarians. The most popular groups of vegetarianism are vegetarians and vegans.  A vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat.  A vegan is a person who eats fruits, vegetables, and soy products. They don’t eat any dairy nor animal base products.

The Vegetarian Diet  To be a healthy vegetarian/vegan you have to follow a healthy diet.  Just because you become a vegetarian it doesn’t mean that you automatically become healthy.

 Becoming a vegetarian is not always the best diet for everyone.  In order to be a healthy vegetarian you have to substitute your meats correctly.  Meat contains protein that our body needs, so becoming a vegetarian is not the best idea.  Although, you can get protein from whole grains, beans, lentils, legumes, soy products, nuts, seeds, and protein supplements.  They are low in protein so you still need the protein that meat contains.

 I asked Monica Valdez on vegetarianism.  Monica became a vegetarian because she saw how they killed animals for their meat.  Also, Monica never really liked meat so that gave her more of a reason to become a vegetarian.

 There are many reasons why people become vegetarians.  Some do it to become healthy and to lose weight.  Others become vegetarians because of animal cruelty.

Biggest Loser Coach Bob Harper becomes vegan.

 Like a person living on tofu, it keeps you strong but your never fully satisfied. THE END
