ROWBERRY ONS Started family history research in late 1976 Direct line in Bristol back to my 3 x great-grandfather George RUBERY Family story said that he came from Birmingham and was related to the RUBERYs who had founded the engineering firm Rubery, Owen & Co Despite extensive searching no link found – but a large family tree built up for them Shut that chain! The ROWBERRY One-Name Study yDNA Project started in Nov 2006 Project website set up on the FTDNA website – note and link on home page of the RONS website RONS Family Gathering in April notification of the Project was sent with invitations to attend First test was taken by my first cousin Peter RUBERY (free kit) 18 tests so far, all by volunteers – 8 part paid, 2 paid kits Donations to Project General Fund very helpful BUT some very interesting results...
