Academic Lab  Before lunch … about 30 minutes long.  Goals  Provide students with academic support within the school day  Time for homework help and test prep  Dedicated time to reading and math  8C AcLab Schedule:  Monday: Silent Sustained Reading (have a book at all times!)  Tuesday: Homework Extension Time (Assessment Make-Ups & Tutoring by sign up)  Thursday: Homework Extension Time (Assessment Make-Ups & Tutoring by sign up)  Friday: Exploratory Extension Time / Math Support  It is expected that students are actively working on the academic task of that day.

Academic Lab  My AcLab will be especially geared towards math enrichment.  Homework Extension T / TH Days and Fridays will be time for students to revisit the new math material, get help on basics as needed, study for tests, and work on math homework while able to get my help.  It will give students extra time, help, and instruction to enable them to be more successful in their math class.

3 rd Hour Snack on 8C  Since lunch doesn’t start until 12:38 in 8 th grade, the 8C teachers have decided to allow students to eat a HEALTHY snack during the first 15 minutes of 3 rd hour.  This is true for all 3 rd hour classes on 8C  All food and drink MUST be finished and trash thrown out within the ‘bell work’ period  Please make sure it is healthy
