Finding eBooks in the Library’s Online Catalog

From the opening search page in the Online Catalog: Limit by ‘Ebook (downloadable)’ Click on Go!

Here is what the list partially looks like: Notice the different icons We have eBooks from Overdrive and 3M (two different software platforms)

eBooks on different platforms have separate records

Click on: ‘Get Book from OverDrive’ to link to Overdrive and download this book

Sign In to Overdrive to Borrow or Place a Hold (if this title is checked out)

If your book is from 3M, and checked out, click on Place Hold

If your book is from 3M, and checked in, click on Check Out

Log In to your account through the online catalog if you haven’t already

Check Out Now

If you only want to find 3M eBooks: Type 3m in the Quick Search box Limit by: Ebook (downloadable)

You can also narrow your results Look to the right of your search results to find ‘Narrow your search’ options Click on 3M (under Authors) to see just 3M eBooks Select a favorite author from the Authors list to see only their titles Select a publication year Choose between Fiction or Nonfiction Literary Forms

A few points to remember:  You can search for downloadable eBooks in our online catalog or by going to the two different hosting platforms (Overdrive or 3M Cloud Library)  You will have to sign in to your account before checking out eBooks  For Overdrive eBooks, Sign In at the Overdrive website  For 3M eBooks, log into our online catalog or log into the 3M Cloud Library  After your eBook is checked out, you will then have to download it to your device to read it
