Human Skeleton: Adults vs. Infants A human adult has 206 bones while a baby has 350 bones! Why? Bones fuse together as we grow.

Human Skeleton: Your Largest Bone The femur is your largest bone. It connects your hip to your knee and supports your weight while you stand and walk.

Skeleton: Giraffes vs Humans Humans and giraffes have the same number of bones in their necks. Giraffe’s vertebrae are just bigger! 7 vertebrae

Skeleton: Owls vs. Humans Owls have fourteen vertebrae bones in their neck which is twice as many as humans. This gives their neck greater flexibility so they can turn it around to 270 degrees. They have to do this because, unlike us, they cannot move their eyeballs at all in any direction.

Skeletons: Bullfrog vs. Human
