HOW TO OVERCOME TEMPTATION James 1:12-18 We must remember 3 important facts about temptation: 1. God test us to develop our faith, our endurance and our character. 2. Satan tempts us to sin in order to destroy our lives and our relationship with God. 3. Temptations occurs when we feel compelled to satisfy or fulfill our God given desires in an ungodly and unlawful way.

II.We Need To Understand The Process of Temptation: A. Be ready 1 Cor 10:12 Four steps that the devil uses in order to tempt us I. The first step is desire: Verse 14a II. The second step is deception: Verse 14b III. The third step is disobedience: Verse 15a Song : O be careful little eyes what You see, ----ear what you hear, Feet // Hands // Mind // I. The fourth, the final, the fatal step is death :V15b
