Film and editing video is a job that falls under the category of communication. A film editor works with different types of videos to add or delete unneeded film. They work with cinematographers and sound editors to put in the sight and sound together. To be a film editor it requires hard working hours; looking through footage, being able to work short and long film, and working diligently to reach the deadline. Many people don’t realize how much work is put into editing movies, especially the action movies. Film editors, also go through footage once their done shooting. They look for the best footage to combine with the best photography performance, and timing. Trim the segments of footage to the lengths needed for the film and assemble them into the best length to tell the story. They also work with sound effects editors, sound editors, and musical directors on sound, it’s a whole team that make a film successful. Film editors insert music, dialogue, and music using editing equipment.
