iPhone app with QuickBooks Online

What is QuickBooks Online for iPhone and how it works  QuickBooks Online for iPhone is a mobile application that keeps connected to QuickBooks Online - wherever you are.  Use it to create, view and edit customers, invoices, sales receipts and estimates.  QuickBooks Online for iPhone is always in sync with QuickBooks Online. Customer, estimate, invoice, and sales receipt data you add or update in QuickBooks Online is immediately available in the app.  Any data you add or update in the app is also immediately available in QuickBooks Online. Wherever you decide to work, your data is always up to date and available.

Benefits of using the iPhone app with QuickBooks Online  With this app, you can spend more time with customers and be free to do other important things to run your business.  For example: you are visiting a customer 1) Select the customer from the All Customers list and click the pin icon or details to see their address on a map. 2) See if there are overdue invoices you can resolve while you're there. 3) You can create or edit an estimate, invoice or sales receipt on the spot. 4) Call or directly from QuickBooks Online for iPhone to contact the customer before you visit.

Technical Requirements and How to Install  QuickBooks mobile version is now available to all users on iOS devices  Tap the App Store on your iPhone and sign in using your iTunes credentials.  Do a search for QuickBooks Online for iPhone.  Click Free and then Install.  Sign in using the same QBO company credentials you would on your browser version QBO.  Choose one of your QBO companies from the list if you have more than one.  See the FAQ for the version of QuickBooks and the mobile device you use.

Price  If you're using QuickBooks Online, it's already included in your QuickBooks subscription. Just install the app and sign in with your same username and password.  If you’re not yet a QuickBooks Online subscriber, download the app, sign up for your 30-day free trial account, and then subscribe. Limitations of QuickBooks Online app  Functionality in several areas differs when using the QuickBooks mobile apps:  Customer Jobs: you can create, edit, and use Customer Jobs on Android only.  Sales Tax: inactive sales tax amounts appear in the list.  Sales Receipts: if you use a custom sales receipt template in QuickBooks but haven’t activated it to use online, the mobile app uses the standard sales receipt template.  For the payments assigned to a sales receipt:  You must activate QuickBooks default payment types: Cash, Check, Credit (all card types).  Debit, E-Check, and Gift card are not currently supported.  If more than one Cash or Check type is available, the first one in the Payment Method list will be selected for that transaction. The ones created will be used if that method is the first of that type in the list.
