Ⅲ. Vocational Rehab Programs for Injured Return-to-originalwork Re-employment Businessstart-up 3 Types based on the purpose of Rehabilitation

Subsidies for Return-to-Work Coverage Employers who maintain the re-employment of disabled workers with Disability Grade 1 to 12 or injured workers (whose disability will be medically acknowledged to correspond to Disability Grade 1 to 12 after the completion of the medical care) for 6 months or longer after the workers have completed medical treatment 1. Support for return-to-original work

Support period The amount actually paid to an injured worker by his/her employer (within the amount officially announced by the Minister of Employment & Labor) 1. Support for return-to-original work Up to 12 months Support amount · Disability Grade 1 to 3 ☞ KRW 0.6 million per month · Disability Grade 4 to 9 ☞ KRW 0.45 million per month · Disability Grade 10 to 12 ☞ KRW 0.30 million per month

Job adaptation training & rehabilitation sports expenses Coverage 1. Support for return-to-original work Requirements for supports Same as said subsidies for return-to-work, and employers who report & implement a plan for job adaptation training programs or rehabilitation sports programs Maintenance of eligible workers’ employment for at least 6 months after the completion of job Adaptation training programs

Support period & amount 1. Support for return-to-original work Support period: up to 3 months Support amount: amount actually paid (within the amount officially announced by the Minister of Employment & Labor) · job adaptation training expenses ☞ KRW 0.45 million per month · Rehabilitation sports expenses ☞ KRW 0.15 million per month

Support for re-employment Deadline & number of times Up to 2 times within 1 year since the day when Disability grade has been determined Procedure Receiving a claim for job training program → determining eligibility → Vocational evaluation & checking whether an occupational rehab plan is made → surveying the status of job training centers & entering into a contract → selecting job trainee → giving a notice of job training

Support for re-employment Period Up to 12 months Scope Expenses for curricula based on a contract entered Into between the COMWEL and a job training center (within the amount of job training expenses officially announced by the Minister of Employment & Labor) ※ Amount officially announced by the Minister of Employment & Labor: KRW 6 millions

Support for re-employment Condition Job training allowances are paid only if the Percentage of attendance is 80% or higher Amount corresponding to the daily amount of minimum standard wages ※ Daily amount of minimum standard wages as of 2010: KRW 32,880 Job Placement Services Typical job placement system in Korea “WORKNET”

Coverage 3. Business Start-Up Support Program Those who have completed job training courses at the Ansan/Gwangju Rehabilitation Training Center Those who have completed job training courses financially supported on and after March 1, 1998 Those who have obtained a certificate of qualification under the National Technical Qualification Act or the Basic Qualification Act Those eligible for Permanent Disability Benefits due to pneumoconiosis under the WCI ACT Those who want to start up a business that have engaged in the same type of business for 2 years or longer

Supports 3. Business Start-Up Support Program Renting an establishment with a deposit amounting up to KRW 100 millions ※ Establishment with a deposit plus monthly rent: Limited to KRW 1.5million per month ☞ Monthly rent shall be paid by a claimant Interest rate ☞ 3% (paid in equal installments on a monthly basis) Support period ☞ up to 6 years at intervals of 1 year (or 2 years) in rental period
