Distance To: Tanks, 50 ft Sewer Pipe with Watertight Joints, 50 ft Edge of effluent spray area or effluent disposal area, 150 ft
Distance to any OSSF component, 10 ft
Distance to an effluent disposal area is 100 ft
If a well is completed in accordance to 16 TAC chapter (a)(1) it may be 50 ft from a disposal area This chapter addresses grouting of a well

25 ft in a clay soil, i.e. soil absorption rate (Ra) < 0.1 gal/sf/day, 75 ft in a soil predominantly sand, i.e. Ra > 0.1; Or may be 50 ft with secondary (aerobic) treatment and disinfection
In the latter case, to place a drip disposal area 50 ft from a body of water in a predominantly sandy soil, aerobic treatment and disinfection is required Continuous chlorination is not recommended by some manufacturers UV disinfection is an alternative
All components of an OSSF must be 1 ft from the easement, unless permission is granted by the easement holder Easements are recorded with the County Clerk’s office. Other sources are recorded plats & some surveys
Distance to tanks, drip system disposal area, soil absorption systems is 1 ft A surface application spray area may spray to the edge of the easement
