 The field of cosmetology has grown very large, but a hairstylist remains as a core career in this field. There are many skills, techniques, and training one must master to become a hairstylist, and having proper scientific knowledge about hair care products is necessary to have a safe environment.

My friend went to Beverly Hills salon. My mom went to Creative images to get her hair cut & colored. I went to Creative Images to get my hair colored. MELODY& MEMELODY& ME

 Being patient while I got my hair dyed.  Science is a big part of cosmetology › Chemicals/hair dye › Hair structure  Learning to cut men and women's hair. › Different skills and techniques  Keep clients happy/ satisfied The two colors that were added into my hair ( brown and blonde) After picture with the brown and blonde added.

SUCCESS  I caught on very quickly.  Learned information that I didn’t know  Got along great with my mentor.  Learned more information about cosmetology. CHALLENGES  There are a lot of different hair techniques to learn.  Concentrate on the hair cutting and talking to the client.  Knowing how and when each tool is used.  Putting my presentation together.

 My Mentor for cosmetology was Melody Laster.  She owns her own business and has been a cosmetologist for over 10 years.  She works very hard and loves what she does.  She helped me out with knowing a lot of information about hair. Melody & me

 Over all my senior project has been a great success.  Getting to know some of what she does is very interesting.  I’m glad I decided to learn more about cosmetology it gives me an outlook on a job that I was interested in.
