Where is God?

Our First Call “Jesus replied, “ ‘You must love the L ORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” (Matthew 22:37, NLT)

Jeremiah 2:2, (NLT) “Go and shout this message to Jerusalem. This is what the L ORD says: “I remember how eager you were to please me as a young bride long ago, how you loved me and followed me even through the barren wilderness.”

Jeremiah 2:5–6, (NLT) “This is what the L ORD says: “What did your ancestors find wrong with me that led them to stray so far from me? They worshiped worthless idols, only to become worthless themselves. They did not ask, ‘Where is the L ORD who brought us safely out of Egypt…?’”

Jeremiah 2:8, (NLT) “The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the L ORD ?’ Those who taught my word ignored me, the rulers turned against me...”

Desperate for His Presence

God’s Presence Objectively – omnipresence, “…the earth is full of His glory,” (Isaiah 6:3) Subjectively – personal presence, God’s manifest, conscious, trusted presence “…you fill me with joy in your presence,” (Psalm 16:11)

Psalm 63:1, (NLT) “O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NLT)

RECALL WITH RENEWED DESIRE

PRAY WITH PERSISTENT TENACITY

Psalm 63:4, (NLT) I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer.

Jesus’ Promise to the Desperate “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Luke 11:9, NLT)

CELEBRATE WITH A FULL HEART

HELPED THROUGH JOY-FILLED CLOSENESS
