Planning and Setting Up a Website
Creating a Website – Planning Stage AUDIENCE -- who will visit your site? What information do they need? What needs do they have that your website will provide? GOALS -- what do you want to accomplish with this site? How will your site provide the information your visitors need? FLOWCHART -- map out a logical layout of pages to guide visitors through your site (snapshot view from your visitor’s point of view) SITE ORGANIZATION CHART – map out the links and sections you’ll have in your site. What filenames and folders will you need? What other technologies will you need to accomplish the goals?
