Machine  During this examination a Phillips IU22 ultrasound machine was used. Exam Preparation  Step 1- Read the Referral  Step 2- Check the patient notes for relevant previous imaging  Step 3- Ensure room is prepared and machine ready  Step 4- Ensure warm gel and appropriate towels etc is available.  Step 5- Collect patient from waiting room, check D.O.B and show patient where to get changed  Step 6- Explain what the examination involves  Step 7- Bring up patient details on machine  Step 8- Patient is positioned on the table, in the supine position with affected knee slightly bent up.  Step 9- Begin Examination
